GREG SMITH - KICK MUSIC
Greg Smith's musical journey has taken him from the Midwest to New
York City and finally Los Angeles. He's left a wide trail of releases
along the way.
He's composed and produced for the Backstreet Boys (Jive), Diana Ross
(Motown), Crystal Waters (Mercury), Robin S. (Atlantic), Will Downing
(Island), Little Steven (RCA) and countless others.
Highlights include a Grammy Nomination for Best Instrumental Composition,
"North on South Street," with Herb Alpert, and an ASCAP
Rhythm and Soul Award for Jellybean's "Shadows of the Past Pulse."
More recently, he's placed himself solidly in the world of film and
TV, writing national spots for Qwest Communications, JC Penney, Honda,
HoneyComb, Reebok, Skechers and Sears; scores for "An Uninvited
Guest" (Trimark), "Hidden Blessings" and "Playing
With Fire" (BET); themes for "Prevues" (Bravo) and
"The City" (PBS); and trailers for "Any Given Sunday,"
"The Third Miracle," and "Ginger Snaps."
